THE ISH SOCIETY WAY

WHAT WE DO

  • Manufacture our garments domestically in Brooklyn and LA, with attention to people and material

  • Design clothes that allow you to move, breathe, bloat, walk, sweat, and do general bodily things

  • Encourage secondhand shopping and thoughtful purchases without manufactured urgency

  • Create a slowly growing collection of styles that live on our shelves forever (if you adore that shirt, come back later for another color - it’ll still be here)

  • Embrace learning - as creators, consumers, and citizens of the planet

WHAT WE DON'T

  • Polyester clothing! Enough said on that.

  • Produce dozens of poorly executed styles per season - just so they can go on sale and create textile waste

  • Niche microtrends that don’t align with the practicalities of everyday life

  • Single-use plastics in our packaging and shipping materials

  • Markups over 200% - which make sustainable brands inaccessible to many who would prefer not to buy fast fashion (but then can’t afford it)

OUR VALUES

  • LONGEVITY

Our clothes are designed to be worn again, and again, and again. For us, longevity looks like timeless silhouettes and styles, materials and construction that withstand wearing and washing, and a capsule collection that doesn’t disappear only to be replaced with something new and shiny every season. Creating clothes that last is central to our sustainability ethos, reducing the need for constant replacement and encouraging a more intentional relationship with what we own.

  • VERSATILITY

Versatility is about designing fewer pieces that do more. ISH garments are made to move effortlessly between settings, moods, and moments - they can be styled up or down, and meet the practical needs of wherever your day takes you. By prioritizing adaptability, we aim to build wardrobes that feel complete without excess.

  • EASE

Ease is about designing clothes that feel good to wear and make sense in real life. Pieces that are comfortable, practical, and move with you - without sacrificing joy and personality. When clothing flatters our bodies and fits into our routines, it’s more likely to be worn often, loved longer, and kept in our closet for the long haul.
